Watching the J-Bird playing the new demo of "Wet" is already bringing out the criticisms. First off, and this isn't racist, there is a VERY Chinese guy called "Simmons". "Simmons" isn't a Chinese person's name.
We come to EVERY MOVE HAVING SLOW MO. WHY? Apparently they tried it without Slow-Mo, and it's too hard. SO?
"Take A Swig" to get health back (I presume). So she drinks it, and then shoots it. Un-necessary? Yes. Oh, you have sword on your back too, but you can't use it. Nope. USELESS. Oh, breaking news. You CAN use it, but only when you're so close that you could bite their nose. It's fucking pointless.
Anyone that buys this game should be executed.

Shadow Complex
I'm not sure how many of our few (probably none) readers have an Xbox 360 and are familiar with XBLA. Thats Xbox Live Arcade to you NON-cool people.
Either way, the new game from Epic has just been released, Shadow Complex. It's probably the greatest game to ever come from XBLA apart from The Secret Of Monkey Island. It's a wierd 3D-ish 2D side scrolling shooter. It's highly addictive, my first playthrough has taken me 9 hours. Yet i'm still going back for me. Yes, this really does declare how sad and nerdy I am but I am already aware and comfortable of that fact.
One thing I really don't understand is this. The other developer for the game was Chair. The people behind....Undertow one of the worst XBLA games ever, so bad it was given out for free when xbox live went down for a day. I wouldn't let somebody pay me to finish that game. It's terrible.
So when the infamous Cliffy B of Epic Games said we were excited to work with Chair after playing Undertow, you start to question their sanity. I guess they have redeemed themselves though, Shadow Complex is great.

Zombies Don't Mix With Music
As you are all aware, the other day I purchased Left 4 Dead. This was partly because my associate was buying it, but also because my other main game, Rock Band 2, has begun to lack in quality of DLC. Now I'm sure there are plenty of people who would argue against this, but who really wants ALL of Spinal Tap as DLC instead of the confirmed Rock Band:Unplugged songs?
I'm digressing. Left 4 Dead has occupied the last few days and nights of my time, but now that I've played it on my own, and found out how dull it is to play without friends, I returned to RB2. I downloaded the new Gorillaz songs, and spent some points that were lying around on Yngwie Malmsteen's "Damnation Game" and Dead Kennedy's "Holiday In Cambodia". Upon playing "Damnation Game" I found that since I've been shooting zombies for the past week or so, and before that, playing Marvel vs. Capcom 2, my skills have gone completely out the window.
So, I've come up with a winner. Ready? "Zombie Band: Pull The Plug". It's like Left 4 Dead, except when there's a radio, or special infected, or hospital machine in the room, you have to play a song to continue. It holds no relevance to the story, and is mainly there for music game buffs. BUT. If you 100% the song "Brainkiller" by Prudas Jiest, you get a huge guitar-shaped bazooka that plays heavy metal and obscenely loud volumes. The sheer volume alone crushes the zombie's skulls.
Or maybe not. I should approach Harmonix or Valve with this idea.

"This. Is. The. Brain. Kill. Errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!"

Valve lushessness once again.
Valve are pretty much the kings of gaming as you all know and if your as nerdy as I am, you will know they were on last nights episode of GameTrailerTV. And what an episode it was, obviously they dodged all questions regarding Episode 3, the bastards. But they did show off a little more of L4D2 and some clips from Crash Course the new DLC for L4D1. Episode below:
Also in this episode was an exclusive trailer for Rage. Now is it just me, but ever since the nerdgasm festival that is Fallout 3 was released, the number of post-apocalyptic games has increased. Not only do we have Fallout: New Vegas somewhere in the near future, but we have Rage and Borderlands. I'm not complaining, i'm actually quite ashamed to say i'm really looking forward to all 3 of those games, maybe even more then Modern Warfare 2... Somethings wrong with me.

Expressing my love for Valve
As I have recently told you, I have bought Left 4 Dead. For those who don't know...it's basically 28 Days Later put into a game. And for those who haven't seen 28 Days Later..It's zombies. You nerds may be wondering why I have bought it so close to the release of Left 4 Dead 2. This is why:
As Valve has said, they are going to continue to support both L4D 1 and 2 along side each other. I don't see them as sequels really, they don't continue the same story, it's just a re-imagining of the same game I suppose. Either way L4D is a fun game that I haven't played before so it doesn't bother me, I will buy L4D2 as well.
I love L4D, I played the beta but never bought it because there were other more important games being released at the same time so it got lost. But I now realise what I've been missing. I don't know if it's just me but I like to think all immature guys do it. But on a couple of occasions that include being bored (car journeys mostly) I have daydreamed about a zombie apocalypse and what i'd do in that situation (sad I know, but i'm sure i'm not the only one). This game lets you live out the fantasy to an extent. This video is about 5 minutes long but really worth a watch.
The other day I was browsing eBay and came across an awesome rare(ish) promotion poster for Half-Life 2. If you know me, you know I LOVE that game. I've finished Half-Life 2 at least 5 times, Episode 1 2 or 3 times and Episode 2 only twice. But anyway I immediately put down a bid. Luckily there isn't much call for a poster like this so I was the only bidder in the end. Got it for £4 something, came from Sweden, said between 2-10 days. It arrived within 3 so I was very impressed. I'm quite proud of my poster it just shows how nerdy I really am. This is the image that's on my now favourite poster:

It replaced my Metallica poster, I thought it was only fair because that poster kept falling down and therefore had to be punished. Although I might put it back up instead of my Iron Maiden poster because I don't really listen to them anymore. Decisions, decisions... My life is so hectic. If only I could find a Portal poster or Team Fortress 2 or Left 4 Dead or all of them then I could completely dedicate my room to Valve. We all know they rule anyway.
Enough ramblings for now.

Welcome to Nerdcopter
I wanted another blog, this one probably won't be updated as often as the world famous Hatredcopter blog. This blog is for all my nerd related musings. Mainly gaming, I want to keep it seperate from my random thoughts blog.
I don't have much gaming stuff to talk about today. Except I did finish Mothership Zeta, the last DLC for Fallout 3. *spoilers ahead*
Which was quite the disappointment. I expected new scenery (considering it takes place on an alien ship an all) but everything looked pretty samey. Apart from when you look out a window...its space. The guns all looked the same, sounded the same fired the same generic sci-fi goo. Not good Bethesda. Also a very disappointing ending, you save the world from aliens and nobody on earth notices. Point Lookout ftw I think...
*spoilers end*
Once again i'm bored of all my games again, gotta wait till the 6th for the next and probably last Nazi Zombies map. w00ts.
Speaking of w00ts, may I introduce you to...The Chobot. The reason IGN is worth visiting.
She's a nerd!!! Get in!
