Right-o Then

Well, this post started as a reply to Ron Burgandy?'s post below. But I thought fuck it, I can blog about this.

What I want to say to you, Ron Burgandy? is this. If that's the only reason you hate Bungie, then you do not see the entire picture. Bungie make obviously average games (in terms of single player) and distribute them to the masses of mainstream 'only reason I bought an xbox is for halo' gamers. They get away with it because a) said fans eat it all up and b) because fudging Micro$oft are cash cows and Mr. Bill Gates clearly needs another diamond encrusted face. Yes, I bought Halo 3 and yes I played the multi player for quite a bit but I was naive back then. I have now learned why it is so average. The only reason Halo exists is the money.

Now here I'm going to be 'that guy' in terms of the first one was best everything else ruined it.

But I don't care, If that's what it takes, I'll be 'that guy'. FYI I'm also that guy for Gears of War. The first Halo game was a great step forward for FPS games, creating new weapons, species and settings of which nothing similar has been seen before. Also bringing a bright new graphic style and fun fast paced game play that reached across to many many people. Then Halo 2 happened and I can proudly say I never owned that game let alone finished it. Halo 3 comes along and I'm still skeptical, eventually I bought it because the Forge mode sounded interesting mainly. For a while I did enjoy it. The all the hate came back.

But the thing is, once Bungie realised that they had the multi player nailed down for all the fans, single player seemed to get swept aside and quite obviously so because it was shit. They just churned out new levels of similar game play and objectives that we've seen for the previous 2 games.

One final thought before I close this rant up. Say, this is a big hypothetical here, anybody read this blog. All the Halo fans that object to this well written out opinion on Bungie, you know what the most clever, most thought out response would be? Some 12 year old kid saying 'Fuck you, you fucking fuck fuck fuck, blah blah etc.' Probably with some 'your mums' thrown in for good measure as well. And with that I rest my case.

A Message to Bungie

This is a message to Bungie, because they can't seem to get this right.

Why is the "Heavy" gametype even in existence? It's the biggest pile of shit I've ever seen. Because ONE Wraith and ONE laser wasn't enough, they'll just throw in lasers left and right and a Scorpion. Which brings me to the next point.

WHY THE FUCK IS THE SCORPION SO OVER-POWERED? Everyone knows it, and you'd think that Bungie would fucking notice this. I remember the days when the Wraith was an equal to the Scorpion (or even better than it, come to think of it) but that was the good days. Now it's different. This must have been the little conversation they had.

"Hmm, the Wraith is a bit powerful don't you think?"
*puts down glass of Sherry* "Hmm, I think you're right. Make it a joke. Make it even crapper than that shit of a boss fight at the end of Halo 2"
"Right on sir"

FUCK YOU BUNGIE. YOU'RE FUCKING STUPID. THE WRAITH SHOULD BE AN EQUAL TO THE SCORPION. YOU FUCKING SUCK.
